I did the South Coast and Glacier hike with Gylif. He drove all of us to the different locations and told us fascinating things about volcanoes, the land, and energy generation. It was a very enjoyable educational experience. The waterfalls were all beautiful, and I drank the most amazing water. When we finally got to the glacier to hike on top of, he made sure we all safely put on our equipment and gave us a lot of different safety tips about hiking. I'm very prone to falling in general, but I did not fall down once and some of the things he told us are things I can apply to other walking activities. I would love to do the other expeditions and look forward to it!

My 12 year old daughter and I did a 3 day tour of Southern Iceland in Feb 2024 and it was superb. Our guide (Elisa) was fantastic - knowledgeable and lovely. We learned so much from her about Icelandic culture and history as we drove around the rugged landscape. We saw so many fabulous places on our trip - the tour is EXCELLENT value for money. It covers the minibus costs, entry to places and activities and 2 nights in a hotel (incl. breakfast). It was a long time in the bus but when you're looking out of the window at the ever changing landscape it didn't feel so long. Around each bend the view is completely different. Absolutely loved the tour and would gladly go with Troll on a future tour.

did a wonderful day tour of the golden triangle and I must say it was a most wonderful day. Before I booked the service I got from customer services was brilliant and all my queries were professionally answered. Unfortunately, due to bad weather our cruise ship was delayed by 2 days but i had no problem changing the booking. The courier on the day was fantastic and informative. Nothing seemed to much trouble to him. 👍👍 to Troll Expeditions

Amazing Experience!!! Sarah was our guide and she was amazing! The trip was very educational without been overwhelm with information! The tour left on time and the ride was beautiful! Sarah pay attention to all guests and made sure that we take great pictures. The walk though the glacier took 1.5 hour but it did not felt like that!! It was one of the best things we did while in Iceland!!!

Fantastic trip can definitely recommend, small bus so not heaps of people travelling with you. Our driver/ guide Palli was a local and really knew his stuff, was humorous and used personal experiences to better our knowledge. Hotels were good and also included breakfasts. Loved Iceland!

I really enjoyed the 3-day South Coast and Golden circle tour. The views were phenomenal and our guide Oihane was nice and introduced many nice facts about the landscapes. She even went above and beyond to take us to some secret scenes not on the list. The glacier hike and blue ice cave tour was just amazing!

My partner and I did the snorkelling exploration through silfra with Kevin. It was amazing! Highlight of the trip for sure. Kevin is a fantastic host who took great pictures, was funny and entertaining whilst making us feel completely safe throughout! Their van is heated for you to change in which is very welcomed as when we did it the weather was -5 and snowing! Will recommend to all friends who plan on travelling to Iceland in the future. 10/10

It has been a spectacular trip, impossible to describe in words everything lived, eaten and experienced. Our guide, Jon, was key in this trip to get to know the best of Iceland. He took us to incredible places, told us stories, was concerned with answering all our questions, always attentive to what the group needed. Iceland is a spectacular country!

Excellent tour! Siggy was a fantastic guide and the itinerary was robust. (Bummed we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights but that wasn’t their fault). The accommodations were mixed - second night was fantastic: nice room, yummy home cooked food. The first night hotel was less memorable but clean and safe. I would definitely recommend !

It was truly a wonderful trip! During these eight days of travel, we traveled around Iceland, getting to know the main attractions in each region. Our guide John always led us safely in the most adverse weather conditions, wind, snow and rain. John always reserved a special place for us to visit and a wonderful restaurant to try the local cuisine, everything was always very tasty! Finally, we were able to see the Aurora Borealis! It was a great trip. Oscar was our driver and the guide during the trip, and Maggie was our guide on the glacier. It is a long trip. We visited two amazing waterfalls, a black sand beach and the highlight of the trip - a hike on the glacier. I cannot emphasize enough how important is the proper clothing. I was on this trip at the end of March; it was still very cold with cold winds. You must wear ankle high hiking boots, pants and long johns, and a few layers of clothing, warm gloves, a scarf and a hat. And sun glasses. Have water and some food. There are line up often at the stops. Be prepared for a real hike on a glacier. If you never hike then don’t sign up because you affect the experience of other people on that trip. I am over 60 years old and I had no problems. The trip is very well organized, and the guides were competent and made sure that we were always safe. They were knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this trip. Great experience!

Me and my wife had a 6 day tour with our guide Jon Hilmarsson. I feel so lucky to have been escorted around Iceland with Jon. His knowledge, humor, and love of Iceland really shows. He went above and beyond on our tour, stopping at secret places along the way that weren't even on the schedule so that we could take a couple pictures and see the views. We also felt extremely safe during this tour. We highly recommend using this company, and again, huge thanks to Jon for being our guide.

Had an amazing three day tour. Arni was a great tour guide that was patient with the group, had a good sense of humor, and provided lots of information about Iceland. We had Adam as our glacier tour guide and he was also really good and friendly. We had all kinds of weather from the sun to a snowstorm. The hotels we stayed at were all comfortable and we found good food nearby each day. I would highly recommend the tour when you come to Iceland.

Absolutely great two day south coast tour with Troll. The guide Gustaf was knowledgeable and warm and told us lots of history and stories on the drive. The glacier hiking and boat cruising in lagoon are the must. Highly recommended.

AMAZING! My soul sister and I journeyed around Iceland on the 6 day Ring Road tour. From the Golden Circle, to the south, to the East Fjords to the northern highlands. The natural beauty of this land is breathtaking! This tour was well planned and kept us moving from one majestic view to another. Our fabulous guide JOHANN gave us a spectacular excursion which included the history, culture and legends of this island nation. He stopped at smaller villages off the beaten track and gave us a bit of the local color. Thank you for sharing this land with us!

Wonderful experience that surpassed all my expectations. The 6-day around island tour is highly recommended to do also in winter, to enjoy the full winter experience (though risk of tricky weather exists!). Despite 1-2 hard-snow days in Feb (limited visibility and mobility), I actually enjoyed it a lot as we don’t get so much snow anymore where I live. The activities in the itinerary were really beautiful and worth it. We saw many major waterfalls and geysers, we went for a horseback riding, ice cave seeing, glacier hiking, and many more.The bus was comfortable, our guide and driver Gæi was really kind and helpful. Truly an experience of a lifetime, which I will never forget!

We had a wonderful tour guide Bjorn. His stories and insights were excellent. He took us on the tour and added stops along the way for a better understanding of Iceland.

I went on an excellent tour of Iceland and saw waterfalls volcanos multiple scenic outlooks. My tour guide, Oscar, was amazing and told great stories throughout the drive and even added multiple extra stops since we had a smaller bus load! Fanatic tour and a great way to see more of the country without driving 12+ hours yourself, I highly recommend it. Only note is you should bring a packed lunch as there is minimal food available throughout the day.

An outstanding multi day trip to Iceland handled professionally and with great care by Troll. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Both Eric and Hinnrik were great guides and drivers. Memories of a wonderful trip for a lifetime. Pictures don’t do this land justice.

8 days and 2700 kilometres later, our guided summer ring road tour was done and dusted and what a trip! We were really impressed with the quality of hotel accommodation (most didn’t have fridges, some no kettles and all were very very warm). We got to see and do so much without the hassle of finding the top spots, driving on the wrong side of the road, and worrying about parking costs (paid parking is everywhere). The tour inclusions were great but definitely worth adding on the extra activities. Our guide Hellur with his dry wit shared his love of Iceland and history and was a great guide and driver. Thanks Troll!

Just returned from an 8 day ring road tour. Such an amazing adventure and experience. Our guide Thor, yes his real name, was outstanding. The tour had so many inclusions, waterfalls galore, all amazing and all different, lava fields, pillars and caves, The Golden circle not to be missed , geothermal springs and geysers, black sandy beaches, glacier walking and lagoon cruising, whale watching, we saw plenty, and seals sunning on rocks, Arctic fox pups and puffins. We heard about settlement, history, Vikings, trolls , saga and volcano stories. We were able to eat at local restaurants with famed Icelandic seafood, fish and lamb dishes. The hotels were a good standard, the favourite being The Glacier View and Hotel Hrifunes. The group size was 19 with the bus comfortable and adequate for that number. I have done a lot of travelling this was one of the best tours I have ever done. Well done Thor, Troll and Iceland !

Went on the Golden Circle trip with Troll Expeditions and had a fabulous time. Bjorn, our guide was an excellent driver and took good care of everyone on the bus... even those with mobility issues. Since we were so "good" and got back on the bus in good time he even did a small side trip to show us some greenhouses. The Icelandic music he played was lovely, although the volume could have been turned down just a touch. Overall a great experience.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to our tour guide Jan. We booked 5 hour tour and enjoyed every minute of it. We were lucky with the weather, so got to see the most spectacular glacia lagoon scenery. Jan was super knowledgeable and courteous and friendly. He told many interesting facts during our walk and took us to the most beautiful parts of glacier whilst making sure everyone was safe. We highly recommend to book your tour with Jan. The 5 hour tour was really worth if as we got to experience and see part of the glacier that other groups didn't get to experience. The most memorable day ever! Thank you Jan.

My friend and I took the South Coast Tour by Minibus and Glacier Walk expedition last weekend. Troll Expeditions made this an unforgettable experience for both of us. Our driver and guide, BJORN, had a wealth of knowledge about Icelandic geology, agriculture, history, culture, and folklore. He made the long bus ride fascinating and entertaining. He's one of the nicest people we met in Iceland which is a country full of nice people. The glacier hike was a spectacular once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide, ADAM, from the UK, showed a genuine appreciation for Iceland's natural wonders and for people. He taught us everything we now know about glaciers and kept us safe and entertained the whole time. I will be laughing at his jokes for the rest of my life. I look forward to taking another Troll Expedition as soon as I am able to return to Iceland. It's a good tour company operated and staffed by wonderful people.

My husband and I booked a 3 day tour along the southern coast of Iceland which included a glacier hike and a tour through an ice cave. It was a trip of a lifetime! Our tour guide, Hinrik, was incredibly kind, joyful, and upbeat, despite the fact that the weather was not great during our time there. We saw so many waterfalls and explored ancient lava fields and even got to see a geyser erupt! I highly recommend this tour because it was a great value.

Snæfellsnes: Small-Group Hidden Treasures of The West Tour Fantastic tour. A lot of stops, all spectacular. Enough time for a brief experience but know you could spend hours at each place - this is a quick sampling tour. More physically demanding than the Golden Circle or South Coast tours - just be aware: stairs, uneven paths... Highly recommend!!

Henrik was an absolutely incredible leader for our tour. He was the most welcoming and laid back guide I have ever experienced and he naturally created an atmosphere that bonded our group in a fun way that didn’t take away from individual experiences, but did help break the awkwardness of a group tour. His relaxed affect was extremely approachable and he made adjustments to the tour as needed to maximize our experience. I truly wish I could spend all of my time in Iceland with following him around. He had the perfect balance of narrating our journey and allowing for quiet time with a mixture of really great music that all four of my party enjoyed (ages 36-74) which is hard to do! He also had really inspiring commentary on the artists whose music he played. I learned and have grown from my interaction with Henrik and I hope to join another tour with him some day. The Troll company as a whole was awesome as well. The small bus is perfect to avoid large crowds and it was very comfortable and organized.

We did the Katla ice cave tour, which was a combination of a glacier hike and ice cave. It was truly magnificent. Natalie was our guide and she was very friendly, informative and funny. She was an amazing guide and gave us an unforgettable adventure. I would highly recommend this tour in Iceland.

For our first time ever visiting Iceland, we booked 6 Days Around Iceland with Troll, and we weren't disappointed at all. The tour was well planned, and communicating with Troll Team was very easy. On our tour we were picked by tour guide John. We couldn't have asked for a better person to guide us around Iceland. His passion as a geographer about Iceland helped us gain a wealth of knowledge about the stunning landscapes and history. With the limited daylight and weather conditions, John was exceptional to take us around safely and show us as many highlights as possible. We mentioned John we are vegetarians and John took extra efforts to make sure the restaurants he made reservations in had vegetarian options for us. John also made sure this was not just a group of people travelling in a bus, but build friendships and connections. We sure did make some good friends in this tour. Our only disappointment would be that we didn't book the 8 day tour instead of 6 days. I'd also like to give special mentions to Rik, who took us Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike and Antonio, who was the guide for Crystal Blue Ice Caves. They were very good.

I believe what makes the difference between a good tour and a great one is the guide and I can safely say that Stefan made sure we had a great tour! He was informative and funny throughout the whole tour, he was very attentive to all the guests needs and always tried his best to make sure everyone was having an enjoyable time. We did the 3-day South Coast and Golden Circle tour. The tour was an excellent way to see all that Iceland has to offer in a short time period. Troll expeditions as a company was very responsive via email before and after the tour. The pickup went very smoothly and we hardly had any waiting time. Before graduation, it was really unforgettable to have such a wonderful trip with my classmates. Accustomed to the bustling and monotonous cities, this 8-day trip to Iceland really gave me great feelings and different experiences. Waterfalls, canyons, northern lights... All kinds of beauty that can't be seen at ordinary times; Horseback riding, glacier trekking, cave exploration... The activities are an exciting experience. At the same time, our dear tour guide John, with his enthusiasm and rich knowledge, taught us a lot of geographical knowledge and Icelandic culture during the trip, and also helped me integrate into the group and have a good experience since I was not good at English communication. I am really grateful to him! Of course, in the process of travel can also experience Iceland's special food, including but not limited to shark meat, taste well... I look forward to seeing you for yourself. What is the point of travel? It's about experiencing things you wouldn't normally experience, seeing things you wouldn't normally see, meeting some interesting souls and making valuable memories. This 8-day trip to Iceland has really achieved these things. Thanks to John and every member of the tour group for their tolerance and enthusiasm, I think I will return to Iceland in the summer in the future to see different scenery.

An amazing three-day trip to enjoy the scenery of Iceland's south coast. Although we didn’t chase the aurora, it wasn’t their fault, the weather really wasn’t that great. In addition, the guide Elisa is a charming and knowledgeable person. She conquered us with her warm Italian humor and rich knowledge of Iceland.

The days I’ve been spent with Tröll was so amazing 🤩 Each guide was so nice to us and always answered our questions so passionately. On the other hand, all of them knew things about Iceland so much and they always showed their love of this incredible country. If you ever got chance to travel around there I highly recommend you to go snorkeling between the continents which is super amazing! And go seeing the ice cave with the glacier hiking as well.

Did a 3 day Golden circle + south coast tour which turned out to be fantastic. Dagur our guide made sure we had the best time possible. The tour was very well organized to ensure the best usage of the limited day light available. Breathtaking landscape, thrilling experience and very comfortable stays.Had a small but amazing group of people in the tour which made it even more enjoyable. Definitely recommend ‘Troll Expedition’ to anyone looking for a fabulous trip to Iceland!

Had a lovely tour to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula with Corina! She was full of knowledge about the area, fun anecdotes, and interesting history facts. She also added a couple extra stops along the way, one of them being my favorite stop of the whole tour! Overall an excellent experience, and exactly what Corina told us it would be- a nice preview of the area so we know more about all the great places we want to visit when we come back next time!

We had a wonderful Golden Circle tour with Corina. She had lots of interesting information to share and the sights were breathtaking. We lucked out and got a “warm” day with just a mild breeze. It was such a great way to spend a short stopover in Iceland. I highly recommend it.

Love every bit of our experience. Our tour guides were both passionate about Iceland. Luis especially, when we were glacier hiking. Very patient with us and knows so much about what he is doing. Glacier hike experience is a must! All the waterfalls are breathtaking too.

We embarked on a 8 day tour - Circle of Iceland with Troll expeditions recently. We just expected this to be a trip where we would get to see various places that were mentioned in the itinerary, click nice photographs on the way, create great memories as we explore the country along with other people. Although we got to experience all of the above, less did we know what awaited for us. It was not just a trip where we got down from the bus, visited a place and came back, it was much more than that. Led by none other than our amazing tour guide John, he makes sure everyone on the trip feels comfortable, hangs out with everyone and makes sure to know each and everyone. Guided by his geology knowledge of every square inch of Iceland, you will get a very immersive experience of the food, culture, history, tradition, customs and art. He makes sure to stop at extra picturesque destinations which are not even mentioned in the itinerary. He has great recommendations for great food spots in each town. The overall trip was an unforgettable experience where we ended up making great memories and friends along the way. I will surely do this again in the future.

Nice glacier hiking tour! Our guide is really patient and caring. My friend and I had a really cool time among the glacier. Also the day trip provided is nice. We happened to see the rainbow that day and our drive guide stopped for us to enjoy the view😃

We had the most amazing tour with Troll. It was easily the best day of our trip. We went on the south coast and glacier hike tour. Our glacier guide, Lewis was absolutely amazing. We saw so many beautiful things and I cannot express how much we enjoyed our day, thank you!

We did the Golden Circle & Snorkeling in Silfra Minibus Tour and can't recommend this enough!! It's a must do for sure, and we had so much fun. You get what you pay for with this trip! For the snorkeling our tour guide Lou was very professional and made us feel safe but also provided plenty of light hearted fun and jokes! We were in a small group of 5 people and Lou made sure every step of the snorkeling was very smooth and efficient. She worked really hard in cold conditions to make sure we weren't cold during changing and we understood exactly what was happening during the snorkeling. She took some amazing photos which we will cherish forever!! For the golden circle tour our tour guide was Cora. Again she was excellent, I loved how much information she provided at each attraction. She was loads of fun and made the tour. We got to see all the main attractions and had ample time at each stop. Thank you so much Troll, Lou, and Cora!

We all had a great experience with our Tröll tour. Our guide, Totil, was very knowledgeable about all the visited sights and Iceland in general. It was a very comprehensive tour and visited some amazing sights. The hotels we stayed in were very nice and clean.

My friends and I did the South Coast Minibus Tour with Glacier Hike it was a wonderful experience. The bus tour guide was funny and knowledgeable; he brought us to few of the falls, got to watch the sunrise and take a quick picture. The team at the glacier hike was extremely helpful, super kind, fun, and great sense of humor. It was a great experience; once in a lifetime to get to glacier hike! We had an amazing time with Oscar during our trip South Coast & Glacier Hike Minibus Tour. We saw the most beautiful waterfalls, and the black beach. But the absolute highlight was the glacier hike. What a special experience that was. Truly something to never forget. Oscar drove us safely across the island and also told us a lot about Iceland and about the volcanic eruption that was starting at that time in Grindavik. In short, highly recommended! Do not hesitate, just book.

Enjoyed my four day trip with Troll expeditions. Guide Eliza was helpful and made the experience fun, keeping the group entertained with a selection of Icelandic music. Lots to see on the trip so stops were quite short but necessary in order to get to all the locations in limited time.

We did a great glacier hike with Tröll Expeditions in June. We went for an hour tour but it was very interesting and unique experience! Our guide - Michelle - is highly talented, very professional and knowledgeable and extremely fun person! Highly recommended! When I'm back to Iceland I want to do longer 5-hours version definitely!

Did an 8 day ring road tour and had a phenomenal time. We were picked up around 8am on Monday and dropped off before dinner time on Monday a week later at the end of November. Johann was our guide and blended his energy level, cultural and geographical explanations, and impromptu stops for the group perfectly. We had 17 folks on the tour for many countries so our bus had only a few empty seats but still enough storage space for small suitcases and whatever you wanted on the bus with you. Everyone had a great time and got to see the northern lights, whales, glaciers, reindeer, many waterfalls and Icelandic horses. At the end of the first six days the group split between those going to Reykjavik and those doing two additional days. We were picked up by another bus coming from Reykjavik and in the last two days got to see more volcanic beaches, waterfalls and a lava cave. My photos are quite amazing from the trip and I'd highly recommend Iceland off season for folks on the fence about it.

Our guide, Hinrik, was awesome! He was so funny, friendly, and helpful, and he has great taste in music! Joining Troll Expeditions for their 8-day summer tour was the best decision. I didn't have to worry about logistics, driving, road conditions, or coordinating with multiple vendors for different activities. The itinerary was well-planned, and the activities were fun and varied. I saw much more of the country than I would have if I had gone the self-drive route. The best part was having a local guide who shared the history and personal stories about the sites we visited, allowing me to appreciate the places on a deeper level. The only downside was that we didn't have the luxury of exploring each site thoroughly due to the schedule, but honestly, it wasn't too bad—we didn't feel rushed at all. The small group tour format also allowed me to make friends with my travel mates from different countries, which was so helpful when it came to taking pictures! I highly recommend touring with Troll Expeditions—you'll have fun and be worry-free!

Went on the South Coast & Glacier Hike minibus tour led by Bjorn and had a great time. We don’t usually take tours, but really enjoyed this one for the short time we were in Iceland because it gave us a taste of the southern coast without having to rent a car for the 1.5 days we were there. Bjorn was a great tour guide and gave us a lot of information about Iceland-from the water production to the horses, the Icelandic language to volcanic activity. We really enjoyed our time!

We did the Katla Ice cave tour and it was perfect. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. It was a half hour drive to the hike start, a short easy hike (but still a hike, not a walk) with crampons through the ashy glacier and then a magical entrance into the cave. Otherworldly. Looked like a movie. The guide was generous in taking pictures of us. Several other picturesque stops on the hike back to the super jeep. Was exactly what we were looking for.

This was an amazing experience. I spent 10 days traveling Italy beforehand and Troll Expeditions took the cake! Beautiful and unforgettable. The guide Anna was wonderful, kind, and informative. She even called me at the time of my tour to see where I was, as I was waiting in the wrong area. Not many companies go out of their way like that! The pictures they send you are alone worth the price, highly recommend!

We had Troll Expeditions for two of our booked tours while there, we did the tectonic plate snorkeling and a glacier hike. Both experiences were amazing and both guides were very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Nicholas with the snorkeling tour was amazing in making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable while in the water while also making it a fun experience. The guide for the hiking tour (I forgot his name unfortunately) was also very helpful in making sure that we knew what we were doing and often did check ins to make sure we all felt comfortable. I would 100% recommend this company for all excursions. I felt everyone loved their job and loved being able to share what they love to do with the rest of us.
